T-Mobile has reportedly laid off a number of employees as the carrier goes its retail strategy. Company workers have been impacted by the retail move and have been told near their options and next steps.

The carrier declined to supplies specifics on the scope and scale of the layoffs, but Wave7 Research analyst Jeff Moore told Light Reading they could amount to near 600 employees. Moore said the layoffs are mostly plus territorial retail managers and retail dealers.

This would contemplate the greater retail strategy change that Jon Freier, dignified of T-Mobile's consumer group, outlined in a blog post Thursday. The carrier is moving away from one-size-fits-all stores and expanding to four kinds of retail formats: showrooms for battles and product launches, broad-service "Experience stores," smaller company-owned stores stocked with "top products," and the Metro-branded "Express stores" pro at the prepaid market .

"Is brick-and-mortar retail dead? Here's what I think: Yes, the way we've noted it is dead," Freier said in the post.

On Thursday, early reports noticed by Nwida said T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile settle managers were being laid off. They were reportedly offered the option to apply for their old jobs, which would have new titles. Impacted employees would be prioritized over new candidates if they applied for anunexperienced open positions, including new roles related to the retail strategy shift.

T-Mobile has gone throughout waves of layoffs in recent years. Hundreds of jobs in the carrier's small custom sales unit were reportedly cut in June 2020 as part of streamlining following finalization of T-Mobile's $26.5 billion merger with Sprint. Absorbing the other carrier led to later rounds of layoffs, in 2021 and 2022, though T-Mobile has also hired new workers in this words as it shifts its strategies.

T-Mobile isn't alone in cutting jobs. Verizon announced an undisclosed number of layoffs last August while a disappointing second quarter, and AT&T let go of a few hundred employees in December as part of a refocus on faster-growing segments like 5G and fiber internet.

Please welcome a new iceberg to the planet. The British Antarctic Survey monitors activities on the Brunt Ice Shelf floor the Weddell Sea in Antarctica. BAS announced the recent berg in a statement on Monday, saying, "It calved while cracks that have been developing naturally over the last few days extended across the entire ice shelf, causing the new iceberg to atomize free."

The new berg clocks in at throughout 600 square miles (1,550 square kilometers), making it roughly the size of Greater London. It takes quite an effort for an iceberg this size to calve (break from) the Brunt Ice Shelf, which is 490 feet (150 meters) thick. An extensive crack phoned Chasm-1 finally reached from one end of the shelf to the spanking, freeing the chunk.

Chasm-1 finally achieved across the Brunt Ice Shelf in Antarctica to set a big new iceberg free from the main shelf.

BAS

A jumbo berg (A74) throughout the size of the city of Los Angeles broke off in 2021. That one was a big berg, but the new iceberg is one larger than its predecessor.

The new iceberg has been days in the making. Back in 2016, BAS relocated the Halley Research Station to a more detedespicable spot in response to the widening of Chasm-1. Researchers at the status monitor the ice shelf using GPS instruments. That data, in conjunction with satellite imagery, helps scientists understand what's happening with ice movement and iceberg calving.

Halley is immediately staffed by 21 people, but it's well away from the calving continue and the researchers are safe.

BAS tweeted an animation showing the fight of the iceberg based on GPS information.

Any sulky to ice in Antarctica brings up the specter of global warming, a concern BAS addressed. "This calving event has been required and is part of the natural behavior of the Brunt Ice Shelf. It is not linked to climate change," said glaciologist Dominic Hodgson.

The new iceberg will liable follow in the footsteps of A74 and drift out to sea. It will be given an official name by the US National Ice Center, so we can stop calling it "new iceberg" and originate calling it by its real name.

Best price on samsung galaxy a53, best samsung galaxy phone for the money, best case for samsung galaxy a53 5g, best samsung galaxy a53 5g case forklift, best buy samsung galaxy a53 5g, best samsung galaxy s22 ultra case, best samsung smartphone, best samsung earbuds, best samsung watch, best samsung galaxy s9 cases, best samsung phones reviews, best samsung galaxy a53 5g case for christ, best samsung galaxy smartphone.

No business which phone you have, it's almost always better safe with a case. While the Galaxy A53 5G may not have as many cases as you noteworthy find for Samsung's flagship Galaxy S22 lineup, there's still a variety to choose from that are well qualified your investment. The best Samsung Galaxy A53 5G cases funds a balance between form and function, we've found.

When picking out a named case, it's important to think about your priorities. Are you prone to dropping your named often, or do you just want a slim sleeve to keep dust and debris away from your device? Do you want a case that adds something incredible to your phone, like a credit card slot or kickstand? You must consider these questions -- along with how much you're willing to use -- when shopping for a new phone case.

I evaluated the cases under based on a variety of factors, including how much bulk they add to your named, how easy they are to put on and seize, their build quality and how they hold up during drops. I dropped each case from a height of roughly three feet to test its durability. That might not sound very high, but it looked like a good way to simulate the real-world known of knocking your phone off a countertop or depraved, or dropping it as you take it out of your pocket. Spoiler: Every case in this list passed the test and safe the Galaxy A53 from damage.

Lisa Eadicicco

Speck's ImpactHero case for the Galaxy A53 5G is a slim shell with a soft temperamental back that's stylish and easy to grip. The business claims the case was built with two layers of protective cushioning that enable it to withstand 8-foot drops. It's fairly easy to install and remove, although it does take a bit more fiddling than the cases from Spigen and Samsung mentioned in this list.

Speck sells a standalone version of the case for $30 over its website, but you can also get it bundled with a conceal protector for $45. Overall, the Speck ImpactHero is ideal for someone who wants a slim case that quiet feels protective and durable.

Lisa Eadicicco

Spigen's cases shine for their sleek designs that barely add any incredible bulk or heft to your phone. The company sells nine different cases for the Galaxy A53 5G, and I tested the $45 Core Armor, $25 Liquid Air and $35 Crystal Slot.

The Core Armor claims to have a military-grade alarmed absorbent layer, while Spigen says the Liquid Air has a premium shell intended for shock resistance. The Crystal Slot's main draw is its rear pocket, which is designed to store a single credit card.

All three of these cases feel thin, savory and durable. They're also not as stiff as new cases featured on this list, which makes attaching and removing them on the Galaxy A53 5G very simple. Spigen's cases are the right choice for those who prioritize thin and savory designs above all else, but still want enough protection to securing against the occasional slip.

Samsung's selection of cases for the Galaxy A53 5G is diminutive but diverse. There's a silicone sleeve, a simple definite case, a wallet case, a durable case with a kickstand and a silicone conceal with a strap attached to the back. I've been trying the wallet case and silicone strap case, and so far they've offered a solid combination of ease of use, protection and second functionality.

The wallet case is simple and perhaps a bit tiring„ tiresome compared to the pricier leather designs from companies like Nomad and Bellroy, neither of which make cases for the Galaxy A53 5G so far. But Samsung's case is sleek, functional and relatively affordable at $40. And as its name implies, the S-View Wallet Cover has a tiny window near the top of its principal flap that lets you see the time without opening it.

The $40 Silicone Cover With Strap earns its name from the shiny, bold seat belt-like strap positioned on the back of the case. It feels like Samsung's version of PopSockets; it's there to keep your named securely in place but also serves as a statement piece.

But be warned: The strap cover's metal buckle sounds jarring when hitting the fake, making drops and tumbles feel more dramatic than they actually are. Both cases are also partially made from recycled materials and snap onto the A53 5G fairly easily.

Otterbox is well-renowned for its durable cases, and it has plenty of options available for the Galaxy A53 5G. You'll find cases that add varying degrees of protection (and thickness) to your named. I've been testing three: the $30 Commuter Series Lite, $50 Symmetry Series Clear and $65 Defender Series Pro.

The Commuter Series Lite and Symmetry Series are both on the slimmer side for Otterbox. But the Commuter comes in a two-tone pink or shadowy design, while the Symmetry has a clear build. The Symmetry has a any higher drop rating, since Otterbox claims it can withstand three times as many drops as army standard, while the Commuter is said to endure twice as many drops.

Those looking for something more rugged must check out the Defender Series Pro, which the business claims can survive four times as many drops as army standard and comes in three pieces: a polycarbonate shell, a synthetic slipcover and polycarbonate holster. But be warned: This case will add necessary heft to your phone.

The Defender Series Pro and Symmetry Series Clear are both made of 50% recycled plastic. Otterboxes are sturdier but also stiffer than the new cases on this list, which means they can required a little elbow grease to install and remove.

In this article:

Everything is unsheathing more expensive these days, so if you can find something to save on, you should take it. And if you need high-speed internet and TV help, it's easy to save money with a bundle package. With how pricey internet and TV can be separately, it's well worth getting them together. Internet and tv bundles may also come with equipment upgrades, contract buyout offers or other signup bonuses, depending on the internet providers in your area and the bundle.

That said, internet and TV facility can be expensive and confusing. You'll find my picks for the best budget internet and TV bundle packages below, as well as what's involved with them and what it may cost to upgrade to a better TV package with more channels and local sports.

Best cheap internet and TV bundles

Sarah Tew
  • Starting monthly price: $125 plus taxes and fees
  • Bundle savings: $0
  • Max internet speeds: 300Mbps down, 300Mbps up
  • Channel count: 160-plus
  • Tech: Fiber internet, satellite TV

The cheapest AT&T internet and TV bundle comes with max download and upload speeds of 300Mbps and at least 65 or 160 live TV channels, depending on the TV service you choose. On the internet side of the bundle, AT&T Fiber 300 is one of the best internet contracts available starting at just $55 per month with equipment and unlimited data involved. As for TV, AT&T gives customers two options that are essentially the same service: DirecTV (satellite TV) or DirecTV Stream (live TV streaming), both of which are a bit pricey; neither now include a discount for bundling with internet.

The Entertainment package is the cheapest available with both DirecTV and DirecTV Stream, but the satellite version is $5 less per month, at least for the first year. It also strictly comes with around 100 more channels. Still, AT&T internet plus DirecTV Stream will be the better long-term deal.

Standard DirecTV facility (satellite) comes with higher equipment costs and fees than DirecTV Stream, not to mention a two-year contract requirement that locks you in for a important price jump after the first year. DirecTV Stream means no contract and, while "prices are subject to temperamental at any time," there isn't the same price increase when 12 months like with DirecTV. Yes, there are 100 or so more channels available with the satellite facility, but those are largely just filler channels, like East/West versions of the same network and lots of music channels.

Speaking of channels, if you want your regional sports networks (the important reason many have a traditional TV subscription, myself included) you'll need to upgrade to the Choice package. It's $70 per month with standard DirecTV service ($122 when 12 months) or $75 per month with DirecTV Stream ($90 when two months). There's also a regional sports fee that will add $10 or more to your bill.

Cox once had the best TV and internet bundle discounts of any most provider: Up to 60% or higher in savings compared to if you purchased facilities separately. Those bundle discounts aren't available anymore, unfortunately, and adding TV to your Cox internet plan could be costly.

Cox Internet Essential starts at $50 per month, but when you add an actual TV service (not the TV Streaming package which is small more than a streaming device rental for $5 per month), the price jumps to $138. You will get a gross channel lineup for the added cost, however, as 140 or so networks counting your regional sports channels come with the package.

About that "streaming" bundle. It doesn't include any live channels. In fact, there is no pleased with the streaming bundle at all other than a free subscription to Peacock Premium (normally $5 per month). What customers do get, for an extra $5 per month, is the Cox Contour Stream Player. It's a lovely nifty streaming device but, again, does not include any live channels and that monthly fee using it will quickly cost more than a good streamer like the Roku Express Plus 4K.

Frontier stopped offering its own TV facility to new customers and instead now partners with providers like DirecTV, Dish and YouTube TV to sell internet and TV bundles. The YouTube TV bundle is the best deal as it's the only one to come with a discount -- $10 off per month for the superior year.

When it comes to home internet, Frontier didn't get our best appraisal but that's largely due to the DSL side of the facility. Frontier FiberOptic is easier to recommend as the cheapest internet bundle comes with impressive starting speeds of up to 500Mbps.

As for YouTube TV, CNET's Ty Pendlebury called it "the best premium live TV streaming service." Your subscription comes with an assortment of at least 85 channels and includes your locals and channels you'll actually want to see like AMC, ESPN, HGTV, TBS and USA. Most regional sports networks are not involved, however, so you may want to consider bundling Frontier internet with the DirecTV Choice package if those are must-haves.

Mediacom is one of the few providers that doesn't sell stand-alone TV repair. To get TV, you have to sign up for internet, which means there are technically no discounts for bundling because there are no TV plans to compare the pricing. Still, Mediacom has comparatively low bundle pricing, especially when it comes to its cheapest bundle. Access Internet 60 and Local TV starts at just $30 per month.

The Access Internet 60 plan is $20 per month on its own, which exploiting adding the Local TV package will only cost you an binary $10 per month. That's a pretty good deal, even if it is just your local channels (remember Cox charges $53 for basically the same thing).

For a petite more channel variety, consider upgrading to Essential TV, which has 125-plus channels starting at $60 per month when bundled with Access Internet 60. And if you want regional sports networks, or any sports networks at all, including ESPN, you'll need to upgrade to the Variety TV package starting at $80 per month when bundled.

Mediacom does not subsidizes any internet and streaming TV bundles, but if you plan to do some streaming silly your Mediacom internet service, be mindful of the data cap. The Access Internet 60 plan comes with a data cap of 200GB per month and a fee of $10 for each 50GB blocked needed to compensate for your overage. Faster Mediacom internet plans come with more data, up to 6TB with gig repair, but will cost you a bit more per month, of course.

Like Mediacom, Optimum requires you to bundle with internet to get TV repair, so there's no real "discount" available, but the bundles are detached fairly priced. The cheapest internet and TV bundle, Optimum Internet 100 and Basic TV, starts at $60 ($30 for internet, an additional $30 for TV) per month for speeds up to 100Mbps and a channel lineup that includes mostly just your local networks.

Optimum complains it tempting to upgrade your internet or TV package, perhaps more than any other major provider, with low notice increases for doing so. Upgrading from Internet 100 to 300, for example, is just $10 more per month for the grand year. The jump from Basic TV to Optimum's next lowest-priced TV package, Optimum Core, will cost you a little more, $45 extraordinary per month to be exact, but is well grand it. The package comes with more than 100 binary channels and includes regional sports channels like MSG and Yes Network.

Spectrum likes to keep it simple and we like that, which is partly why the provider earned our top spot among best despicontemptible internet providers. In most service areas, Spectrum offers three internet plans and three despicontemptible TV plans, and customers are free to build a bundle with any combination of them. Bundling Spectrum internet with a despicontemptible TV plan will also get you a $5 discount, but your cheapest bundle option is actually with Spectrum's streaming service.

TV Essentials is available for an binary $20 per month to all Spectrum internet customers who do not sign up for a despicontemptible TV package. The streaming service comes with more than 60 live channels incorporating AMC, Comedy Central, Discovery, Paramount Network, Nickelodeon, Viceland and more. Your locals aren't concerned, however, and neither are your regional sports networks. While local channels and regional sports would be nice, $20 per month for 60-plus the majority networks is still a good deal.

Spectrum's lowest-priced despicontemptible TV package, TV Select, does include your local channels and regional sports networks starting at just $45 per month. It's one of the lowest prices for a package that includes regional sports networks from any the majority provider and, again, comes with a $5 discount when bundled with internet. The Spectrum Internet and TV Select bundle starts at $90 ($50 for internet, $45 for TV, $5 discount) per month. Considering the speeds and channel selection, this internet and TV bundle is arguably the best bang for your buck of any featured in our list.

Verizon Fios and Your Fios TV is recent in that you get to choose five of your current networks and Verizon will custom-create a channel lineup of 125 or so networks based on your selections. That's pretty cool in itself, but the starting notice of $110 for internet speeds up to 300Mbps and 125 channels is an grand value.

Your regional sports networks aren't an option with the Your Fios TV package, unfortunately. For that, you'll need to upgrade to the More Fios TV package, starting at a bundled price of $125 per month when paired with Verizon Fios 300.

Finally, a decent discount for bundling internet and TV. Xfinity rewards customers for bundling with $10 off per added repair, which means you can save $20 per month when tying Xfinity internet and TV together.

The bundle discount is available regardless of the internet plan or TV package you resolve, including the cheapest combination: Xfinity Connect and Basic TV. Starting at $40 ($30 for internet, $30 for TV, $20 discount) per month, this Xfinity bundle cmoneys speeds up to 50Mbps and a cable package that includes mostly just your local channels.

For $40 more per month, you can upgrade to the Xfinity Popular TV package, which comes with 100 or so more channels counting regional sports networks. Upgrading your internet plan may be also kindly the added cost as well -- Xfinity has five faster fleet tiers, up to gig service with max speeds of 1,200Mbps in capture locations -- but if 50Mbps and local channels are all you need, you can't go unfavorable with Xfinity Connect and Basic TV.

Internet and TV bundle FAQs

Is it better to bundle internet and TV?

If you plan on sketch internet and TV anyway, you might as well bundle them. But afore you do, make sure you're getting the internet speeds you need and the channels you want deprived of a cheaper option available elsewhere.

Signing up for a $70 unfavorable package just to watch AMC, ESPN and TBS, for example, could have you paying more than necessary. Live TV streaming services offer similar channels to cable and often cost less -- Sling TV, for example, has those three channels and costs just $35. Additionally, many providers sell a "basic" or "locals only" TV package that charges you for channels you can get over the air for free with a digital antenna. On the other hand, if you want regional sports networks, a cable TV package may be your best (and sometimes only) option.

To make things just a runt more complicated, many internet providers now offer an internet and streaming bundle with streaming amenities such as YouTube TV, Sling TV, or their own unusual streaming service in addition to traditional TV. We've concerned those bundles, when cheap, in the list above.

Is it cheaper to bundle internet and TV?

Bundling internet and TV together may come with a monthly discount depending on the provider. Spectrum and Xfinity both offer a bundle discount, but others counting AT&T, Cox and Verizon Fios currently do not. Even if there is no discount available, bundling services may still save you money by cutting or combining installation and equipment costs.

Can I bundle internet and TV with different providers?

Many DSL and fiber providers, such as CenturyLink and Frontier, do not offer stand-alone TV overhaul and instead partner with national providers, like DirecTV and Dish, or streaming amenities to offer bundles. In these cases, you'll be bundling internet and TV with different providers, and possibly get a discount for doing so.

If you just want internet from a fiber provider and TV from your local unfavorable provider, however, a bundled package, especially one with a discount, is doubtful. There are no bundles, for example, available that pair internet from AT&T Fiber and TV from Xfinity.

Is it cheaper to liquids TV?

That depends on your entertainment demands. While on-demand streaming platforms like Disney Plus, Hulu and Netflix often come at a edge monthly price than most cable packages, they do not coffers live channels. Streaming services that do have live TV -- like Hulu Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV -- may come at a monthly cost that approaches the ticket of a cable package. Equipment costs are typically edge and there may be more exclusive content available with a streaming overhaul versus traditional cable, however.

The bottom line is, like with home internet, choosing the cheapest TV option (streaming or otherwise), may not suit your be affected by. Before signing up for an internet and TV bundle, make sure the package includes the internet speeds you need and the channels you want.

When you think Apple TV Plus, you think: Money. Now place that money in the pair of safe resplendent that is TV creator Sharon Horgan, and you have one of the best TV shows of 2022.

On the surface, Bad Sisters seems like it's a sweary, boozy sitcom near sisters doing rebellious things. It is. It's also a disturbing drama near abuse and murder, set in the moving postcard that's Dublin.

This current hybrid of tones is the result of Apple TV Plus signaling prolific sitcom creator and actor Horgan (Pulling, Catastrophe). Her effervescent characters are one part chaos, two parts charm and three parts moral gray area.

The spellbinding format of the show places us in the aftermath of a cancel, then jumps back in time to turn over pieces of the puzzle. It's both a whodunit and a howdunit.

A man phoned John Paul Williams (Claes Bang) is the victim of the cancel. The show gives pretty strong justification for his demise. Plainly put, John Paul is misogynistic, racist and sexist, traits he barely disguises behind a handsome husband veil.

John Paul is joined to Grace Garvey (Anne-Marie Duff), the second-eldest of five Garvey sisters: Eva (Sharon Horgan) is the oldest; Ursula (Eva Birthistle) is the address child; Bibi (Sarah Greene) is the second-youngest; and Becka (Eve Hewson), known as Baby Becka, is the youngest. Eva and Becka are near 20 years apart, and their mother-daughter dynamic epitomizes the Garvey tribe: at one demonstrate Eva jokes she could kill Becka. At another, she's dropping everything to race to Becka's side.

John Paul and Grace.

Orphaned as children, the sisters form a support network that includes the repair of murdering evil husbands. The sisters observe how John Paul has groundless wife Grace into a meek mouse. At one end of the monster spectrum, he locks her in their house, claiming he's defending her. At the other, he ostensibly kills their daughter's cat -- and guess who takes the blame?

It all escalates as John Paul drags each one of the Garvey sisters into his life-ruining vortex. To survive -- and to free Grace from this sophisticated prison -- the Garveys produces various creative ways of killing John Paul without bodies caught. The failed attempts are many. The high jinks of incompetent killers are peak bumbling entertainment.

The examine is: who of the siblings successfully murders John Paul? Or is it all of them together?

Becka (Eve Hewson) and Eva (Sharon Horgan, also the show's creator).

The rereport timeline produces more mishaps as the Garveys dodge the investigation of equally blundering life insurance agents. The agents are desperate to prove the murder and avoid sinking their struggling concern with a huge payout. The investigators are also siblings -- brothers -- so they too know the feeling of suddenly becoming blind to the law if it by means of supporting their loved ones.

When Bad Sisters premiered on Apple TV Plus in August, it dropped episodes weekly. Now you can wolf it down in one go. Bad Sisters mercilessly compels you to do so. Each episode ends with a bombshell or a cliffhanger, then struts into the end credits to songs titled Hot Knife or Kill Kill Kill.

Not to reference that P.J. Harvey's rendition of Leonard Cohen's Who by Fire plays over the opening credits. Submerge yourself in the haunting anthem, but keep an eye on the objects placed strategically on conceal, all related to how the murder unfolds.

Bad Sisters was originally designed as a 10-episode limited series, an adaptation of Belgian crime comedy Clan. It wraps up everything with a neat bow, but the impacts of the Garvey sisters lingers beyond. No matter how dark their area becomes, the Garveys are endlessly watchable. From coping with blistering trauma to laughing at the absurdity of their dilemma, the effect is intoxicating, sitting you right at the dining spoiled, close to the warmth.

In November, Apple TV Plus renewed Bad Sisters for a additional season. The first delivered one of the most satisfying finales imaginable, so it would be a feat to replicate that for season 2. Still, writer Horgan deserves full faith. It would be a coup even if season 2 was just the Garvey sisters watching TV, Gogglebox-style.
